Customers in Germany can follow the production of their new configured Mercedes-Benz passenger car in real-time. In the first part of the video series, along with the aluminium foundry and the steel foundry, the engine plant and press shop, as well as the body shell of the Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS can be seen in the production plant in Tuscaloosa. “Joyful Anticipation” is currently only available in Germany for the following model series: A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLA, CLS, GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS, SL and SLC.
“Joyful Anticipation”と呼ばれるサービスの一環（ドイツのみ）で、新車購入者が参加すると、自分の車の製造工程をリアルタイムに追うことができる。
今、自分の車のボディが、素材から生成されているかどうかなど、常に確認できるのだ。
ベンツに限らず、日本人が日本車を新車でオーダーする場合はたいていが注文になるので、注文後にこれと同じような過程があったりする。だけども、今自分の車がどのような製造過程なのかはまったくわからない。
もしこのベンツのサービスのように知ることができたら、「納車はまだですか？」という問い合わせにヤキモキする必要もなくなる。
日本での輸入車はほとんどが在庫を捌くので、ベンツにおいてはこのサービスは導入されないだろう。
